Run
HazShipperWorldShip.exe.It will
create the directory c:\Program Files\HazWeb and place the interface files
in this directory.If installing
on a networked environment (Haz-Shipper and WorldShip are separate
machines) then install the HazShipperWoldShip.exe on both machines.
Right-Click on the
“Internet Explorer” icon on your desktop and select properties.
Select the Security tab
and click on the “Custom Level…” button.(Figure 1).

On the Security
Settings window make sure the “Initialize and script ActiveX controls not
marked as safe” is set to Enable or Prompt (Figure 2).If chose Enable then other programs
will be able to write to your hard-drive without your being aware of this
activity.If you chose Prompt then
every time you press the “Log to Manifest” button a message box will
pop-up stating “An ActiveX control on this page might be unsafe to
interact with other parts of the page.Do you want to allow this interaction”.Select Yes to write the small “interface” text file to
directory c:\program files\hazweb.

If both WorldShip and
Haz-Shipper are installed on the same machine then you have completed the
setup for this interface.If
WorldShip and Haz-Shipper reside on separate machines then proceed to step
7.
Run the file
RegisterODBC from the c:\program files\hazweb directory on the WorldShip
machine.
Chose the “Select
Database” button (Figure 3) and select the Hazshipper.mdb on the
remote machine in the c:\program files\hazweb directory.Once selected wait for the message box
to pop-up with the message “Connection to the HazShipper.mdb has been set”
to appear.

Once the connection has
been established then close RegisterODBC.exe.
If the Interface works
properly then you have completed the Interface setup for a networked
environment.If the interface does
not work then proceed to the remaining steps to check the setup.
The following steps
check the ODBC connection from WorldShip to Haz-Shipper.
Press the Start
button (bottom left-hand of your screen) then select Settings – Control
Panel.

Next select the icon
which will read “Data Sources (ODBC)” for Windows 2000/NT.For Windows ‘95/’98 the icon will read
“ODBC Data Sources (32 bit)”.
Once selected the
following screen will appear (Figure 6).Select the “System DSN” tab.

Administrator
Press the “Add…”
button and the following screen will appear (Figure 7).Scroll down and select the driver named
“Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)”.Press the “Finish” button.

On the ODBC Setup
Screen (Figure 8), set the “Data Source Name” to HAZMAT.Type the Description in as “Haz-Shipper
/ WorldShip Interface.Then press
the “Select” button and select the HazShipper.mdb database.This file should be located in the
c:\program files\HazWeb directory.If you are in a networked environment the this file will be on a
remote machine in the same directory.

Press OK on the “ODBC
Microsoft Access Setup” screen.Then press OK on the “ODBC Data Source Administrators” Screen to
complete the Haz-Shipper / WorldShip interface.
